64 MHz BW from RX888!

#1

Unread post by sm6fhz »

Hi all.
Last night Justin Peng showed via his Twitter flow that he has made a 64 MHz BW update for the RX888 (for HF only, naturally).
Also some other updates are available via links i.e. embedded FX3 FW into dll and three stage gain control for VHF/UHF.

Hope this is possible to implement and use with SDRC.

Very annoying 1853 Hz tone on NFM signals on VHF/UHF using the v0.5 ExtIO DLL in HDSDR.

Using the v0.4 ExtIO DLL I find that I have all 3 gain controls available already: LNA (ATT) & VGA in the RX888 "control console", & mixer (IF) in HDSDR via the button just below the RF gain button.

Hi all.
Has anyone tried this new 64 MHz BW dll with SDRC yet?
If so, any observations, results and experiences to share?

I can see the 64 MHz of spectrum, but audio is broken & badly distorted so unusable in 64 MHz mode.

I'll have a RX888 soon, can play then but 64 MHz spectrum isn't must use I think.

Anyway, let's see...

Hi Simon.

In most cases, yes I agree, mostly gem.

However, I have an idea on using it with the child feature in order to monitor different parts of that spectrum with child processes of SDRC.
That could be very useful, to get 50 MHz monitoring as well over the LAN. Have started sketching on the HW needed for such a set-up, diplexing, filtering etc.
