Re: Forum Delete message
You cannot delete your own message when it has been replied to by others.
Re: Forum Delete message
I just had a quick look at this.
It seems you can delete only your last post within a thread?
And maybe not even that, if there has been a reply since??

I have removed the duplicate post in the thread in question.

Re: Forum Delete message
Hello G0OFE
This duplicate message cancellation concerns messages in the ELAD S1 / S2 / S3 / DUOr directory and the theme "Bizarre reaction with FDM-S3 and console V30.26 build 2085"
If you wanted to delete these duplicate messages, it did absolutely nothing.
It also seems doubtful and surprising to me that almost anyone can perform this very special type of action.

Bernard
Please have the grace to read messages #3 and #4 here.
And where did you get the idea "almost anyone" can do this?
The message author can (if you try quickly enough).
A moderator can (hence message #5).
Nobody else can.
Believe me, I tried to delete your last message in this forum, and in Elad. Sadly, no luck.

Re: Forum Supprimer le message
Well noted Paul and thank you for taking part in my request too.
In the end there can surely only be the great master who can do it and also if he wants to!
Best regards
Bernard

Re: Forum Delete message
phpBB forums used to have a timeout for editing and deleting comments on a post. They don't seem to be in place here as I can still edit my comment from 4 days ago. This forums permissions say that "You can delete your posts in this forum". But you can't. So maybe something to look at.

Re: Forum Delete message
Martin, it's been explained here many times. You cannot delete a post after it has comments to the thread past the post.
Once I've commented here, your immediately previous post cannot be removed. There is a good reason for this. It is a very effective flame war preventative. Nobody can post something inflammatory, get a response, remove the inflammatory post, and reply to the response, "I never said that!" (Way back in the day that is one of the things that made BIX much better than GEnie and CIS. The latter allowed profligate message erasure. BIX did not, to the massive irritation of people who liked provoking flame wars.
