It's all about the Software

The forum software does not seem to adequately track when I visit a topic, read it, and backspace out. This makes reading "annoying" to say the least.

Maybe you have to spend x seconds on a page?

I'll Google this issue.

I read it, backspace out and it's still marked unread.

I refresh the page, the page refreshes and it's then marked as read. I guess going back just reloads the page as you had it before?

Google: 3 seconds. Maybe I can change this more easily...

Related to this problem I notice that "new posts" does not show all new posts. After checking all of them I still find a lot of red on the left margin - including this topic. This leaves me underwhelmned.

edit - "Unread posts" may be the one that shows all messages you have not read. Still underwhelmned.

I find using "Active Topics" works best in this respect.
