Please don't underestimate the amount of thought that must have gone into Jaguar display/features (much as I hate most of the cosmetics/ergonomics). To be sure, much of this is driven by SWL BC LF/MF DX. But BC HF and other services may benefit too. Here's just a quick-reaction selection of stuff to think about.

Features (but not necessarily as implemented):

* Dashboard(s) with selected metrics/status
* High resolution (better than 1 Hz) spectrum/WF & frequency scale (live and IQ replay)
* "Periscope" showing focus of analysis/replay
* Carrier (peak) frequency marker (to 0.1 Hz) at strongest signal
* Frozen "scan history" (WF replay) with mouse-over time/frequency
* Full replay timeline and markers/navigation

HINTS in the direction of:

* Dashboard window to second monitor
* Hi-precision (offset) tuning
* Carrier markers for multiple signals
* Offset-aware frequency database markers
* Region or zone colour-coding of same
* Better implementation of annotated WF cross-hairs at current replay time/frequency
* (and presumably there is an option for static tuning rather than strongest peak follower)
* Calibrated replay timeline
* Timeline mouse click for marker set, mouse-drag for marker adjust, context menu (delete, etc)
* Multiple timeline markers (inc. simple A-B)
* Multiple IQ/WF markers/regions with user annotations, saved to IQ/WF

I have never explored the software in much detail but expect there to be plenty else for imaginative souls to reflect upon.

This is just something thrown into the ring for Simon or interested SDRC users :).

I think it is this - http://www.mazzic.net/jaguar.htm

Only works with the Perseus, so far as I am aware.

If any of these features really are needed then open a Request for each one.

Thanks Jim, looks like a dead project, no updates after 2013-2014. They say they moved to DXing.info but nothing about this project there and that sites seems to be a dead project too sinds 2014. It was indeed only for Persues.

"dead project"

Hi guys. Dead project or not, the software is running @ some of the best DX chasers in the world.
I'd say it is horribly difficult/unintuitive to use, but never hear any complaints - because it just delivers?

Shame about Perseus, seems that Nico lost the market. I think people lik3e Jaguar becuase itr's easy to create 'top of the hour' scheduled recordings.

I think I'm right in saying that the Airspy HF+ Discovery is more sensitive - my basic tests indicate this to be the case.
