RDS Update Fail

#1

Unread post by bob53bob »

Long term issue...I scan with the FM frequency changing every 5 seconds. When I am on a frequency (say 94.7) and no RDS is detected on the next frequency (94.9), the RDS from 94.7 is matched up with 94.9. How do I get it to start from scratch each time a frequency change happens ?

What demodulation bandwidth are you using?

I've not seen that behaviour here at all.

+/- 70000. Been looking for the sweet spot for optimal decoding and so far, this is where I gravitated to. If another station decodes on the next frequency, it grabs it but for it to reset to blank requires two frequency steps. Are you feeding RabbitEars with yours too ?

No, I'm in Europe.
We use FMList here. Rabbit-ears doesn't so far as I know work for Europeans.

I should have known that when I saw the G callsign :) How often does yours change frequency ? Ours is 5 seconds.
