Simon's World Map v1.2

#1

Unread post by JamesDay »

Getting to know Simon's Map (latest v1.2).

When I set the option to goto Full Screen on startup - it does that.

However when it does startup it briefly shows the menus and map then expands
so that only the map appears on my Laptop screen. OS is Windows 10.

The problem is that I can't reduce the size or exit the application without using
Task Manager.

I've tried following:
Tried unistalling the app and reinstalling
Tried modifying registry setting for this flag in Options)
Tried clearing all Registry settings for this app.
Looked in Run Shell:startup. Only my own Clock, no entry for Simon's Map

Run out of ideas :(

Cheers JD

Hi JD,

Try hitting the Esc key. That should bring it to the windowed mode.

Interesting. Everything you are seeing, I see when I launch SWM v1.2.

So you are saying the <esc> key does not take the app out of full screen? Are you using a second monitor on the laptop? For me, the <esc> key only works when the cursor is hovering somewhere over the SWM.

Hi mbott

You're a gentleman Sir. Hadn't thought of that - and no, no second monitor on the laptop

I think in future I'll use maximised since I can see the tool bars/buttons as I'm
likely to want to do minor changes each time I use.

Mni tks

Cheers JD
