SDR Console 3.1 recording bug (maybe?)

#1

Unread post by tony1tf »

Hi Simon et al

I have got back to SDR Console after a long break, and I am trying to use it on a small mini-PC running W10. It uses a T2250 1.73GHz CPU with 2GB of RAM.
SDR Console 3.1 build 2320. AirSpy or FunCube Dongle, both receive OK, but if I try to record audio or data, the program locks up and the only way out is with CTRL ALT DEL. I have attached a screendump, and the log file before it locked up.

Tony, that PC is working very hard in the screengrab:

To give you an idea here's my 10 year old i7 PC running RSP2Pro:

Think your PC must be underspecified sadly as Leon says.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have run SDR Console on all sorts of old PCs in the past. Do you think that going back to a older version in Simon's now unsupported versions would require less resources. I only wanted to record some data from an Airspy in the SDR Console format for someone else to review. The Airspy works perfectly well on the same PC with HDSDR.
