SDR Console 3.2 low bandwidth recordings

#1

Unread post by rbrandi »

This evening I wanted to record a few hours of LRA36 on 15476, so I pointed SDR Console 3.2 at my Airspy, set the bandwidth to 192 kHz, and started recording. Reception was very good for the first hour and a half, then started to fade. After 3 hours and 20 minutes, I went to review my recording and found that it did not work. The sound was choppy and unintelligible. I tested with much shorter duration recordings of 30 seconds and found this to be the case at 192, 256, and 384 kHz on the Airspy. Then I tried with my Elad FDM-S3 and found that it, too, resulted in unusable recordings at 192 and 384 kHz. The Airspy records fine at 768 kHz, and the Elad records fine at 1.536 MHz. So this doesn't appear to be an issue with slow disks or anything. I tried upgrading to the latest beta, but found no difference.
