Satellite I/Q recorder Question

#1

Unread post by VK5HW »

G'Day
I'm using the very nice sat-scheduler in SDR-C 3.3 and have set recording to automagic. However, according to the description it should save the file including the satellite name. My files are not saved with the sat-name. Have I missed something?

Also, files are saved in 1GB chunks, is it possible to change that to no chunks or user selectable i.e. 1, 2, 4, 8, 16 etc.?

Cheers and thanks.

Hauke,
It is attached as a Windows Title.
Best illustrated with the attached grab from one of my SDRC directories.

Hi Colin,

thanks for the reply.
It clearly shows that the satellite name is NOT in the filename! (extract from Satellite Tracking Options: The filename includes the name of the satellite as well as the date and frequency) However, that might only be true if the I&Q recorder is being selected.
I have a small storage system (about 10TB) which is shared with a quite a few computer systems. Not all are windows based. It's bad enough that spaces are used in the filename . However, I've learned to live with that.

Anyway, I've managed to implement a workaround. Thank again for the reply.
