Hi All,
I've been using Pluto with Sdr Console for QO100 for a couple of months now and thought I had an issue with tx drift, but it turns out that although beacon lock appears to to function, over time the frequency drifts by as much as 2KHz. I'm sure I have the locking procedure right but the drift is real.
I use a windows 10 laptop with the latest version of console with a usb connection to the Adalm Pluto. My lnb is the Bullseye which appears to be working well. Has anyone else had a similar issue and is there a fix?
Regards,
Roger. (G8VLR).

Re: Beacon lock for QO100
I have used the beacon lock without any drift for a number of years.

Glad it's working for you David, but as I explained in my post it isn't working properly for me.

Let's see a screenshot.
Re: Beacon lock for QO100
Hi Simon,
The problem is now a massive 20kHz shift and I suspect a hardware issue and to eliminate the software from the problem I completely removed console with Revo and then after a reboot, reinstalled it. The problem persists so I have taken the Pluto and the new 40MHz reference oscillator out of the box and will test seperately.

Is your QO100 down converter GPS locked? If not 1 ppm out of 10 GHz is 10 kHz. And 1 ppm is VERY small drift for unmodified down converters, I hear tell.
