Unfortunately I am also haing a problem with the S3 crashing randomly, and I have to restart the S3 to get it to work again. It's the same whether I use the Elad software or SDR Console. My laptop uses Windows 11, and I have more than adequate cpu & gpu to run the software.
This only happening since my S3 was returned to Elad to sort out the previously mentioned sensitivity issue. I was told that Elad also updated the firmware. I now have....
ELAD FDM-SW2 Version 3.57
FDM-S3 Hardware 4.0 Firmware 1.11 Serial Number SK0DA3
RCMM Hardware 1.5 Firmware 4.3 Serial Number SK0D25-S
DLL Used: ExtIOmc_ELAD_FDMS3_v1_12_0_0.dll
122.88MHz/98.304MHz variable system clock oscillator for group A, group B implementations
at rates 1x192kS, 1x384kS, 1x1536kS, 1x3072kS, 1x6144kS
122.88MHz fixed system clock oscillator for group C, D implementations
at rates 1x12288kS, 1x24576kS
I read somewhere why this happens but I have no idea how to solve the problem. I assume there is newer firmware available for the S3, but I cannot find any on the Elad website, and if I did I have no idea how to install it. I would appreciate any advice.
Thanks.

Re: Elad FDM S3 Crashing
Have you tried posting on the Elad support group? I think you may get a more relevant response over there? Having said that I know there are a few S3 owners on here so maybe one of them can answer.Dave_G7WBH wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 9:50 pm Unfortunately I am also haing a problem with the S3 crashing randomly, and I have to restart the S3 to get it to work again. Having said that I see there was this thread over there some time ago and seems the discussion was not concluded:

Hopefully if Simon is reading this maybe he will remember more about it?

My suggestion: just install the latest v3.3 Beta kit. If you get a 'Please Wait' save and upload the crash dump. Do *not* overwrite and DLLs which are part of the installation.
Also, try different USB ports.
