External Clock LimeSDR Mini v2.4

#1

Unread post by GKinAL »

Does the checkbox in SDR console that enables the use of an external reference clock result in setting FPGA register 0x00CF(0) in v2.4 of the LimeSDR Mini? If not, what is the simplest way to have this register/bit set when using v2.4? Thanks for any insights or advice.

Hi,

I don't know how to set registers, I just use the API. External clocks do work, that I know.

Thanks for the response Simon. I am just a bit unclear as to how to tell the LimeSDR Mini v2.4 to switch to the ext ref clock input. With the v2.2 there were load option resistors. v2.4 has a small IC implemented to switch in the ext clk, but I can find no schematics or documentation from Lime. One post had stated to set FPGA register 0x00CF(0) to 1, however I have no clue how to accomplish this. Perhaps someone else has solved this.
