One other thought comes to mind. I believe some people have discovered different performance depending on whether SDRC or Omnirig is started first.

I wasn't confident the problem wasn't with the
Com port driver but it seemed more likely an issue within Omnirig. I
uninstalled the 1.16 and installed 1.20 in its place. That "restored" communication
between the rig and Omnirig and it was a smooth sail from there. Everyone is back
talking.

No worries Herb. Very pleased to hear you got it back to fully working. As an aside and as Joanne pointed out, there have been reports from some people that they need to run Omnirig before they run SDRC at startup of a session but thankfully that particular issue does not seem to have occurred in your setup.
