MAP65 two coherent 96KHz I/Q streams

#1

Unread post by HB9SHD »

Is there more information about MAP65 Support in newer SDRConsole beside of whats in the SDRConsole itself

To be able to use SDRConsole with MAP65 for X-Pol (H/V) antennas it need support of two coherent 96KHz I/Q streams coming from a Dual Channel RX such as Afedri RX AFE822x SDR-VHFx2
Would love to use SDRConsole as a frontend together with QMAP and MAP65.

SDRC cannot deal with that.

Thank you jdow.

does it mean SDRC supports one 96KHz I/Q Channel only?

should I write a feature request in the other board, so Chief developer will evaluate the request? :-)

There is a long standing long list of requests to handle two receivers or two receivers. Apparently this does not fit the software architecture very well. It also raises "DWIM" issues with the software forced to make a guess about what the operator really intended. At best Simon might get away with allowing a feed from one instance of SDRC to another started within the same process. That appears to be theoretically possible within the Windows window manager design. But, I've never tried it myself. Much of the problem comes from the inability to open a front end USB dongle twice. It might be a whole lot easier to manage with an Ethernet connected device. But, that would depend heavily on the device's API - facilities available to programs that connect to it.
