I am trying to playback a I/O recording made with other software, HDSDR in this case. When I go to the select recording page it shows the recording with the correct duration but incorrect size. When I attempt to playback the file it will only play about 15-20 seconds worth of recording. Is this a compatibility issue or some other issue that I'm missing?

OK,
Looks like this is a HDSDR 'hack' to generate files > 2GB in size. I only support WAV RF64 conforming files > 2 GB.

Ah ok.
In hdsr you can specify the max file size. The default is something like 1097mb and I just added a couple zeros so I didn't end up with a hundred files thirty seconds long, which isn't particularly useful.

Re: Recording Playback recorded from other software
Some programs have 'hacked' the WAV format - myself I use WAV RF64 which is a standard and is recognised by Windows and other OS.
Of course it could be a bug and HDSDR is 100% correct, but as a generalisation ham software is often lazy - I was up at 03:30 this morning reading some of the worst coding I've ever seen just to get at some interesting data.
