Okay.
I spent a few hours working on the HF antenna today. I worked on improving the method I used to ground mount the feed point. I added 4 ground radials 33 feet long each. I also resonant parallel driven elements for 40 and 20 meters. The radials were an attempt to quiet down some of the electrical noise. It appears to have worked.
I've got almost another hour of daylight and I'm hearing quite a few decent 160m stations. 80 and 40 meter bands are absolutely full of strong signals. 20 meters is now full of strong signals. I cannot hear both sides of all QSOs but that is normal.
I'm also picking up multiple FT stations on 15m. Nothing any higher. This is most likely due to adding the 40 meter antenna. I'll check 160m after the sun has set for a bit.
Thanks,
Ed
