RX-888 Info

#1

Unread post by Simon G4ELI »

From Justin Peng

RX888
Based on FFB103:
  • improved HF filter design
  • added VCXO clock and shield
  • added LT6401-20 LNA for ADC pre-amplification
In addition, the LPF bandwidth is designed according to 65M, and subsequent extio and firmware have the opportunity to increase the bandwidth to 64M.

Thanks for info Simon.
Does / will SDRC support the RX-888 as well as the RX-666?
Are there many changes that need to be done to the interface in order to support the RX-888?

The LT-6401-20 looks like a good choice to me for a pre ADC amp here. It is specifically designed for this purpose and is capable of a 6.2 dB NF up to 100 MHz and a +55 dBm OIP3 at 30 MHz.
I am looking forward to receiving the RX-888 and try it out with SDRC :-)
Does the RX-888 need any different drivers than the RX-666 in order to work with SDRC?

Can't find nothing about the filters of the RX-888. All I can see is a LPF in the VHF/UHF stage. Is there bandpass filtering on HF?
