Request: RDS Log lookup/editor window

I have mentioned this request in general conversation, but don't remember putting it in the right place, so I shall do so now that 3.1 is released...
Currently, double-clicking an entry in the RDS log brings up an editor window with possible matches for the PI Code.
Is it possible to make it non-modal and dockable (so we can dock the windows side by side) and not have the window blocking other actions in Console while it's open?
Would also be good if the data in the window changed automatically when single-clicking.
These two changes would enhance usability.
