Thanks. I'm sure it's not the software but internal switching, I've looked through the specs for the HL2 and the commands and it does look that way. Keeping in TX for longer seems to clear the problem.
What voltage are you using?
I'll keep thinking but am suspecting your unit.

Hi Simon, the HL2 and the linear are on 13.8v. I have noticed doing some tests this pm that if I tx with no audio the issue persists but if I talk into the mic when switching the issue does not reappear. Also I meant to thank you for fixing the meters problem, which no longer occurs.
