(this message first ended up where?)
I find that the beacon is currently outside my "Geostationary Satellite Beacon"
window frequency range (possibly due LNB error due to cold weather?) and I'm
thus unable to lock on to it.
a. Is it possible to increase the frequency span to allow for a larger error?
OR
b. What about using the main window and, as an example, use shift-click to lock
on to the beacon rather than in the seperate window ?

Re: QO-100 Beacon lock
set the lnb offset different is easier ... who said that the 9.75 is nailed in stone?!?
set lnb that it is more at center or at least that it is inside the max zoomed out span
check what drift your lnb has at max and min temp outside and set lnb offset that those are at max left and right border in a bit zoomed in view
(i have a tcxo modded lnb so i have just a few hundred hz maximum drift)

Post a screenshot just in case. Maybe try a different QO-100 converter defn. Maybe I need a 'nudge' option in this lock window as well as (+) and (-), will maybe add tomorrow morning.
Re: QO-100 Beacon lock
Simon & al.,
Sorry for the delayed reply.
See enclosed: today I just/almost "reached" the beacon, close enough to lock, but not entirely accurate.
I repeat my suggestion to use a unique key-click combination on the main display.
Also, for the present a more prominent status indication then "big" and "small" arrow (for locking engaged) would be appreciated

Adjust the downconverter defn.
