Inexplicable crashing v3.1

Hello All
SDRC crashed, and wouldn't run despite multiple restarts and regressing to v3.1 (3AUG21), from a special kit (15JAN22) that Simon provided.
Also removing all SDR radio hardware did not succeed in running.
HOWEVER,
SDRC has successfully started & is running after removing both the 'USB-Serial Converter' & 'USB Audio Ports' devices.
The USB devices have been in use continuously with SDRC for the past couple years without problems.
I'm very interested to know whether anyone else is seeing this.
I have WIN10 Updates turned off, so no system changes in that respect.
