Hi all,
Yesterday I stumbled upon a page on the SDR-Radio site that described how to set up Virtual Audio Cables. Unfortunately, I didn't bookmark it and now I can't find it again.
Can someone point me towards where it is please?
Thanks - Dave (G0DJA)
VAC connection instructions
Re: VAC connection instructions
Still not been able to find it. Maybe it was on an external site?

Here's a link to a commonly used Virtual Serial Port: http://k5fr.com/DDUtilV3wiki/index.php? ... SP_Manager

I've bookmarked that site in case I can't get VAC working. I have an old copy that I bought a few years ago from use with HRD, for some reason I don't remember now, but must have been for getting Audio to programs like WSJT I guess.

Re: VAC connection instructions
Jim's link is for VSP, not VAC! But it's still a very useful program needed for CAT control of just about any external program you want to connect, including CW Skimmer, WSJT-X, logbook programs etc. etc. etc.G0DJA wrote: ↑Wed Apr 06, 2022 3:22 pm Thanks Jim,

I can fully recommend it. it just works. But I think as others have pointed out, it does need to be run in "Compatibility Mode", set to Win XP Windows SP3, and also check box for "Run as Administrator". Apart from that it's very good and works perfectly to set up extra serial ports.
Alternatively many on here use Com0Com. Never used that so can't comment.
Anyway, sorry if I strayed off the subject of VACs!
