Hi
For my Es-‘hail 2 QO-100 satellite station here at GU6EFB, I have now moved from my analogue setup of a Yaesu FT847 and an SG labs 13cm up converter for transmit over to a Adam Pluto in conjunction with the SDR console software.
One feature that I was missing was some form of external PTT switching rather than using the PC mouse and clicking on the TX icon. Whilst looking at my Twitter feed I came across a post from Peter 2M0SQL about using a FTDI comport with SDR Console. This was something I had read about before but had forgotten.
I have attached a PDF here which gives a brief overview of how I made this cheap and simple PTT interlace. I have been using for the last few days and it works very well.
I hope you may fine this of use.

Re: Foot Switch PTT Interface
I use a small USB MIDI interface, also there's the Tmate 2 from ELAD.
I would like a flavour of your interface with a simple push button on the top, in fact a dual / quad version maybe. I see a use for toggling PTT, VOX, Mute.
Whenever I get time I'll grab the bits to implement this.
