Hi,
I was wondering if there is any way of editing IQ files? If I record large amounts of data over several hours and I want to keep certain parts of the file is there anyway of editing the file with some software to do this rather than having to keep the whole file.
Thank you

Have you seen the Data File Editor? It'll be in 3.0.26.crvee8 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 09, 2020 10:23 pm Hi,

Thanks Simon, I look forward to the release of 3.0.26
Re: Editing IQ files
Hi, Simon, completely missed that item in your Release Notes.
It's a beautiful tool, thanks ever so much.

Just to report I tried the Data File Editor. So easy to use, perfect results.
From the perspective of the SDR community, I can't see any reason to prefer plain audio files over a single-channel I-Q.
Interesting too that non-SDRC formats are converted to SDRC.

Re: Editing IQ files
Yea, another tester . An advantage of saving IQ is later analysis with improved DSP. I hope 2021 will be the year when I write some decent DSP to dig signals out of the noise.pauldbnut wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 12:52 am Just to report I tried the Data File Editor. So easy to use, perfect results.

"I hope 2021 will be the year when I write some decent DSP to dig signals out of the noise."
That sounds promising!
I'm a bit taken aback by binaural's intrusive noise under poor reception conditions. Seems "harsher" than my Gnu Radio flow.
Probably means yours is doing a better job, so I tried various noise reduction without any real improvement.
But it's early days and there is plenty more to try .

This simply applies a filter so that LSB is in the left ear, USB in the right. Maybe there's something else I can do later, I'll have to check.
