I -think- I'm consistently seeing a buggish interaction between SDRC (3.0.22) + WSJTX (2.1.2) + Omnirig (1.19)


whereby SDRC autonomously changes the rig from DATA/PKT to USB (Upper SB), FT817 w/FT817 rig selection

Steps :

1. start WSJTX : Good, FT817 is in DATA-U mode

2. start SDRC w/ EXT-Radio enabled: Good, at first ... EXT-Radio shows FT817 is in DATA-U mode

3. "asynchronously", FT817 gets switched to USB, which defeats transmitting since this selects Mic audio, not rear jack DATA audio

Is this a known/recognized bug ? Is it fixed in a later release (eg, 3.0.26) ?

Hi Paul, it's not a bug and it's not so asynchronously. It happens when SDRC polls the radio and send the USB mode to the radio instead of the Digital mode. You can change it here (see pict 1, lowest).

If the radio still doesn't want to understand the correct mode then uncheck the Mode in pict2 (upper one). In that case you have to change the mode always manualy.

You can reach these settings windows very easy by clicking the "?" in the external radio pane.
