It's all about the Software

I have just downloaded and installed the world map program, all seems OK with the installation but when running the program Windows comes up with the message "Simons world map has stopped working a problem caused the program to stop working"
I have tried re-installing and re-starting with no success. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate on a HP Compaq computer (dated) but runs my SDR-Play with SDR-Console OK (latest update)

First I'll dig out a Windows 7 system and run it there. I've not seen this before, it can indicate a Windows problem but that doesn't make sense as Console runs. (SDRUno is different technology.)

I used a USB stick and transferred the downloaded program from my station computer over to my laptop which runs Windows 10. No problems! installed OK and program runs perfectly.
This at least proves the download was not corrupted by my station PC, of coarse whats happening in Windows 7 is the problem.

For what it's worth, the World Map runs fine here in Windows 7 Pro 32-bit (VMware VM)

I have been thinking that some other program I am running may be at conflict with Simon's program ? I run "Dimention 4" to synchronise for FT8 and "Qlock 1.91" to display world times,
