It's all about the Software

First, this amazing software combined with my Airspy HF+ have returned me to listening.

Being lazy I often record large portions of the AM band to play back and extract IDs. The time shown on the playback doesn't match real time.

If it was just my clock I'd say it's me, but tonight all the network radio newscasts started around 25 seconds early.

A first level troubleshoot is to check your computer's notion of time of day against some external reality. Something may be stopping it from synchronizing with network time servers and it has drifted over time.
