3.0.26 - Calibration offset frequency not used at startup

Hello,

problem:
Initial correction of SDR calibration not applied to Software at startup!
Using Correction factor of 2.044 ppm.

Visualization:
QO-100 Middle normally at 10489.750 but at startup (without any interaction) is active on 10489.729x
Also "Geostationary Satellite Beacon" window, do not show the waterfall of beacon.

Workaround:
Double click in lower part of panadapter waterfall OR changing panadapter area bandwidth will apply the calibration value.

before left arrow
after workaround action, right arrow
V3.0.26_CalibrationInitializationIssue.png
using:
- SDR console v3.0.26
- Win10 v20H2
- Adalm Pluto on USB
- Setup for QO-100 with Up/Down Converter settings

Question:
a. Is there a checkbox to explicitely apply the changes?
b. Or is it a bug?

Best regards,
Ruediger, DH1RK

I hope you realize on reception there are two calibration factors to be applied. SDRC does not provide for a calibration factor correction for your down converter. It's calibration only applies to the Pluto itself. The "calibration" for the up converter is manually set with the down converter offset. So rather than entering the downlink converter's nominal frequency and expect a "calibration term" to make it nice, put in the actual frequency. That often means fiddle with it until it works.

Hello,
thank for your feedback, but in my opinion it is just a workaround...

Yes, I also used these two calibration factors, due to different IF.
Will check, it again, but I think will behaves in generally the same.

In addition, I detect, that also the setup for external PTT interface not working, too.
After double right click in the waterfall, also this feature is working.

For me, its a missing initialization during startup...
