The cable is 1.5m long, I don't use a BT connection or headphones at all!! Yes, the HERMES LITE works fine with the THETIS. When I use the TUNE it works fine, the problem is when I transmit with AUDIO. I wanted to ask something about the elad,
but is there a way to make a mechanical PTT so that when I want to talk I have to press the button???
For PTT on Elad Duo see here/Per PTT vedere qui:
https://www.sdr-radio.com/elad-transceiver#Notes
and here/e qui:
https://www.sdr-radio.com/ptt
So, if HL2 works properly with Thetis, this seems to imply that there are no network/LAN issues between HL2 and the PC.
You need to run the audio latency test I mentioned earlier. We want to know if there are any latencies or audio dropouts between the microphone and the point where it can be monitored on the SDRC DSP transmit panel. Run this test WITHOUT HL2 being in TX mode by pressing the RX button on the TX DSP audio monitoring panel, as indicated in my earlier post, and shown in the picture I attached. Then LISTEN and let us know if there are any audio dropouts/delays. If so, please provide the approximate amount of delay/latency.

OK, I'll try tomorrow and post the results, thanks again, I read how to build a ptt but it's not very clear to me

The chance of that dongle working is very very poor.
I wonder if your audio levels are overloading something. Make sure you are not using VOX. I notice you have it turned on. Turn it off and use the TX button. Once that works you can tune the VOX adjustments for your speaking style and desires. You press it briefly to start transmitting and press it briefly to stop transmitting.

I'm not using the vox even though I had the level a little raised, I tried and I have no delays with either elad or hemes lite...

Usb2rig is not good, I did not understand how to connect the pen, from the PC to the ptt of the pa??
is the connection like this?
Is it connected like this?

OK I am now very confused. I thought what you wanted was to connect PTT switch to SDRC to be able to make SDRC enter transmit mode with an external switch like a footswitch for example when using the Elad FDM-Duo. That is what this circuit was for. In this case use switch to ground the CTS, not DTR!
None of this is needed for the Hermes Lite 2 which has it's own PTT on the rig.
Is this what you want (put SDRC in to TX mode with FDM Duo) or are you trying to do something else?

As for my previous reply, connect switch to GND and CTS (
not DTR)
Then connect USB to the PC (
not to the Elad)

Perfect, so PC and in my case PA (RM Italy 505) doesn't it matter that at the PA PTT input I also have other PTTs from other SDRs? Thanks
I took this one, it cost less and it was in Italy
But this one DOESN'T HAVE A CLEAN CONTACT, it has 5 volts! If I get the pin wrong, I'll burn the battery... are you sure about the contacts? Thanks
