Re the menu that comes up when going to:

Home/Frequency that allows you to enter Frequeny AND Span.:

Any way to have it stay on the screen permanently, rather than having it disappear after entering any new values ?

Don't think so Bob, but just keeping your cursor over the waterfall or spectrum and pressing "Return" or Enter" key brings it up immediately.

Similarly, with cursor hovering as above, start typing frequency in keyboard numbers row or NumPad and you get the frequency entry box coming up instead (although it's the simplified one, not the one with "Span" available). That's the mode I use most.

Should have said for the last of the two options I mentioned to work (direct frequency entry) you need to have box ticked as in attached picture.
