Yes and no. It can be linearized if your amplifier is linearized more. It cannot be calibrated. It adjusts the level of the signal by multiplying each sample by a number between 0 and 1.0. So it's not even dB related. (That would actually be silly unless you are designing an instrument rather than a communications device.)
