Thanks jdow. Nothing in the setup has changed. One moment it works, the other it doesn't.
I think 888 maybe damaged. There's no other logical explanation I guess? I'm thinking of statics in the air maybe? Is the RX888 that sensitive? Did no one ever experienced anything like it?

It might be a bad cable or connector. Also make sure the cable is husky enough to transmit the required power to the RX888. A skinny cable might not work if it is longer than a meter or two.
I reread the thread and noticed something that I find interesting. Why did you download the driver from the location you gave rather than from infineon (redirected from Cypress)?
Static almost always totally breaks it rather than make it sensitive to the current humidity.
If you have multiple copies of the driver around your system make sure you are loading the one SDRC uses when using SDRC.
