I tried opening additional receiver windows to run different SDRs, but instead of additional windows opening, additional columns with different colors appeared on the same screen. Now, I can't seem to figure out how to close any of them or open additional windows.
What am I missing?
multiple receiver issues on console
Re: multiple receiver issues on console
If simply grabbing the top of the newly appearing windows and dragging them up off the SDRConsole does not work consult the help material on the side where you downloaded SDR-Radio (follow the on screen menus) and post a full size image showing the problem and as many settings as possible. The "Receive" ribbon menu might be most useful. But, you might solve everything on that View ribbon. Top left "Receive Pane". Click it. Then create receivers.

Re: multiple receiver issues on console
Paul, you added virtual RXR's to the current physical SDR that you are connected to. You need to start a new 'Instance' of SDRC to operate more than one physical SDR at a time.
First you must turn off all but the one RXR, then open another instance of SDRC.

Re: multiple receiver issues on console
Kriss, I am still guessing "Receive Pane" is his magic incantation. With that not checked new receivers have no place to land. So they might appear on the main screen. And actually the Matrix window is the golden one for him, probably. He can probably save his work by bringing up the matrix and receive panes. Then he could drag the receiver windows from the main window to the Receive Pane. Then he can put the Receive Pane away by closing it. Personally I prefer the matrix window over the Receive Panes. The Receive Pane limits me before I can get silly. The Matrix allows me to reach what I consider to be "quite silly; but want more."
If you found a way to define multiple front ends, aka "Radios". in SDRC Simon has a serious problem.

Re: multiple receiver issues on console
Per the OP, he/she stated that they wanted start another SDR. I took that to mean there’s more than one SDR available. Also the OP stated there were different colored columns on the screen. So I took that to mean there’s more than one RXR opened on the single SDR. In my first image, you can see the four RXRs I just happened to place somewhat orderly in the 4MHz band, with notations as to how to remove them.
Without a screen shot, we’re just shooting in the dark as to what the OP really sees on the screen.
