I can never line up a dish soley by measurements, some tweaking is almost always essential.

Check the dongle with VHF unless it is modified to receive HF, minimum frequency is about 28MHz.

A long time ago I tried A Softrock, do not remember anything:-(
But if you select Xtal 10MHz then you may select the soundcard for IQ in.
That's as far as I can go.
Whether it would work properly with a Xeigu I do not know.

Try it with the filter on the radio.
Run a signal generator over the frequency range.
Should give an indication something like you see - or not.

Yes, had I read the topic properly I would have suggested it was a matter of getting the RTL gain correct.

I seem to remember that too much or too little could result in no reception with these devices.

You must know if there is actually a station on 105.4MHZ. It must be listed, as a known local station.

My guess is that there is no such station although I have no idea how good the Tecsun is.

It is up to Simon but may I just say that many web sites are like this nowadays.
You have to look very carefully to get the information and especially the correct links.
I guess the site is offered free but at a price of frustration for the users.
