Hi everyone,
I'm experiencing a display issue in SDR-Console v3.4 while using an ANAN Hermes (OpenHPSDR) radio.
The Problem:
Whenever I go into transmission (either by clicking the TUNE button or via PTT), the main spectrum/waterfall display "drops" completely (it becomes flat, around -140dB) and the yellow receiver filter rectangle disappears from the display. Although I can transmit correctly and complete QSOs, I lose all visual reference of my bandwidth and modulation on the main spectrum during TX.
What I have already checked/configured:
Program Options -> Receive -> RX Selection: The "Unmute" option is checked, but the spectrum still drops during TX.
Auto-Mute: It is disabled in Program Options.
Visual Gain (RX): No "Mute display on TX" options are active in the ANAN settings.
View Tab: I looked for the "Filter" command in Overlays and the Spectrum menu, but the spectrum remains flat/dark blue and the filter is invisible during TX.
Hardware/Audio: I am using an Antelope Zen Go audio interface set to 48 kHz (matching the software sample rate).
Duplex: I cannot find a "DUP" or "Duplex" button in the toolbar or within the radio's specific option menus to force the receiver to stay active during TX.
It seems the radio stops sending IQ data to the software during transmission, inhibiting any graphical visualization.
Does anyone know how to force SDR-Console or the OpenHPSDR driver to maintain the IQ stream and filter visualization in Full Duplex (or a similar mode) so I don't lose the waterfall during TX?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Guys, could it be a BUG?
Re: ANAN Hermes: Spectrum and Filter disappear during TX in SDR-Console v3.4
This is not a super busy place. So please be patient waiting for answers. The groups.io mailing list might be quicker responding.
The "Program Options -> Receive -> RX Selection" options are for when you have multiple receivers setup. It's easy to experiment with.
Auto-Mute disabled is indeed what you want. That is a feedback prevention tool.
This is probably not a bug as there are people who are familiar with the ANAN-10 Hermes.
Hopefully somebody who uses this combination for TX will come along soon. I'd also try asking in the groups.io group, too.

Create one or more additional receivers. It affects changing from one to another. What happens when you select a receiver. Does it stay muted or not when you select receiver 3 rather than receiver 1? And does it mute all the receivers you have not selected? That what those two check boxes do. So they will not affect your basic problem with TX.
I answered your message on groups.io. Hopefully you can amend your picture to show the "Radio" settings. There might be something in those that would be pertinent. And attaching the image rather than placing it inside your text can prevent groups.io's compression rendering it useless.
(I have one of the ANAN-10 Hermes lite boxes. But it is packed away at the moment. I've a bit of an old age medical problem I am dealing with. Don't get old.)

Hi, I've tried various receivers but nothing works. Let me describe the problem better.
If I press PTT or TUNE, the power is delivered and I can even make QSOs, but the filter on the Consol.sdr screen is NOT visible, it doesn't exist!! The entire spectrum is lowered and I can't see anything anymore. Thanks.

I understand, I believe. This last time you included the image, it did not come through readable. Attach images rater than include them inline. It looks like the previous one you showed. On that image in the ribbon bar there is a "Radio Configuration" button. What does it say when you show that dialog? And I guess there might be a difference between Hermes and Hermes Lite. Which are you using? Most or all the user comments I remember suggest everybody is using the Hermes Lite.
And what all is involved in your setup here? I presume all communications with the Hermes is via Ethernet. I presume you are not using the Hermes onboard audio connections for anything. What I do not know is whether that loss of I/Q data is normal or not. Lower right is a monitor of what goes out to the Hermes. But that is not the over the air signal which would be better to monitor. I am collecting data to see if there is a setting issue. "Radio Configuration" (showing in the ribbon bar on your image) is a likely place to look. I am even wondering if the I/Q data is coming in all zeros rather than stopped. I would think if it stopped the software would throw interesting errors.

Hi, I tried activating the external radio and not setting the flag here but it doesn't activate....
could the problem be here??

Why are you using external radio setup? The Hermes is just the RF portion of a normal SDR, not an external radio. Have you visited the help page for ANAN tools?

No, that setting would not blank the spectrum. What is your setup there. And what does the "Radio Configuration" panel say? And what's with the "external radio" setup? You seem to have gotten out in the weeds somewhere.
