2 radios 1 pc same time?

#1

Unread post by Mag loop Simon »

I wish to do some side by side comparisons of 2 sdr radios..

Is it possible to run 2 radios at same time with 1 pc?

Perhaps with 2 sdrc running?

I have no idea..( but do not wish to try before asking.)

Thank you ..

Hi Simon,

Yes, provided your PC has enough resources to run 2 instances at once.

You may find it useful to use a separate identity to run the 2nd instance. Go to Tools... Identities to set this up if you have not already done so.

That's why I allow one IP address to access two of my servers at the same time. You can see how SDR A works compared to SDR B or inverted vee antenna versus multi element beam, etc.

I'd show you a pic, but haven't figured out how to post an image.

Kriss... Go to the full editor, then "add attachments" at the bottom. You can either place them inline or just have them at the bottom of the message.

Interesting the attachments do not show up on the Preview.
Here's a side by side comparison of an Airspy HF+ and an SDR-iq on 40Ms:

Without scaling anything on the unnecessarily difficult to see full size in this forum setting picture I'd say both gave more or less equivalent performance with regards to SNR.
