Hi Simon,
The idea is to use your world map as a visual frontend for HAM radio applications (real time spotting, contest trackers, logbook summaries, antenna rotators, ..).
The API would enable highlighting
- grid locators or fields
- ITU zones
- CQ zones
- markers and angles which can be created through the API for further display
And if possible, assign a lifetime and a label to that information.
I think such capabilities would uplift this very nice app and make it very attractive for integration as a frontend !

I agree. Originally it was going to be a DLL which could be added to other programs but that idea didn't happen.
