Kenwood ts2000 sdr console

Unread post by Sv1kxx »

I greet everyone. I have the ts2000 connected to the sdr console via omnirigs, it works fine on the frequency changes. The connection is made via if 75925. and it goes to an rsp1a. as for the frequency, if I hear and see that they are talking, I don't understand what they are saying, it's like I'm off center. I'm making a mistake in the settings, is there an offset, is it the bandwidth, what about it? If someone has done it and can send me step by step the process or a screenshot I would thank him.

in the frame that shows the frequency of the machine, that is, where it says track, the frequency is the correct one that I have on the ts2000. in the box that shows the frequency of the sdr it says if that is 79525 or something nearby. every time I close the program and open it again it is out of sync. I can't find how the sdr console will show the frequency of the ts 2000. Can someone help me?

Hello George

Have your read this page?
https://www.sdr-radio.com/external-radio

Note to get to the External Radio settings you click the little question mark top right of the External Radio panel.

Observe the tick box in the "External Radio Options" called "Restore tracking state when starting the radio".

Also on the same page, see the section that allows offsets to be entered for the different modes USB/LSD/CW etc. when in "IF Mode".

Sorry, I don't use an external radio so I have no idea what the offsets need to be for the TS-2000.

Also note the IF output is a different frequency on the TS-2000 for the standard ham bands 10-15-20-40-80 etc. (75.925MHz) compared to the WARC bands where the IF offset changes to 69.085MHz. Details here:

https://www.tspelettronica.com/2019/02/ ... u-ts-2000/

This causes issues so that majority of TS-2000 users tend to obtain output from the 2nd IF at 10.7MHz. However, the panadapter output will then be more restricted in viewable bandwidth.

Hope it helps

After a lot of searching I set it up. The whole process is in the offset where you have to manually find the right one in my case -3750. It works correctly and sounds much better than the ts2000.
