I'm impressed with SDR-Television. I'm currently running it on an Intel NUC 8i7BEH with 32GB RAM and it runs ok at 333k, but could probably be better, so I'm considering buying a new PC specifically for SDR-Television. What is the ideal machine in a small form factor (e.g. Intel NUC type size format). I'm looking for excellent h.265 performance with h.266 later.
Some of my thoughts/questions:
- The software is optimised for the N100 architecture, but there is a newer N150 processor out. Would this be a better choice?
- What is the best approach for graphics to off-load the codec, or do these machines have the required hardware codec for h.264 and h.265
- What should be considered for h.266 forward compatibility?
Any ideas would be welcome. Perhaps a recommended/supported machine build could simply things?
best regards,
