Hi guys, I'm having a major problem with the TX audio and with HERMES LITE. My voice cuts out in spots, and the watts are delayed! There's a lot of latency. I tried lowering the buffer, setting the TX and RX sampling rate on my sound card to 48 kHz, and reinstalling the program as administrator...nothing!!! My voice is still delayed, and the power is intermittent...please help me! Thanks, and Happy New Year!

The main screenshot in the first post is not readable. Please take a screenshot using the built-in screenshot tool in SDRC and post it here UNCROPPED as there is information on the periphery that is important.

Are you using WiFi or wired LAN to connect to the HL2?
Please also fully describe the TX audio path. It is very important to make sure that all audio sources into the TX DSP panel are set to 48kHz sample rate though I see you have already done this. This is a common cause of no TX or TX instability.
Excessive latency can be caused by the audio codec chosen in Windows. However, there will always be latency with an SDR when comparing the input audio to the transmitted timing. Approximately how much is the latency (just an estimate)? 100ms, 500ms, more?
Is the intermittent problem there with the Tune or Tone signal or only the mic? Intermittent breaks in the power output with the HL2 are usually an indicator of dropped packets on the LAN.

Hi and thanks. I'm connected to the LAN, I'm at 48 kHz transmission in RX and TX, you say "codec chosen" but I don't know where to change it, I don't know what the codec is... I only have problems with the audio part when I press PTT, thanks.

Try to find out where the latency is coming in, audio or RF.
So to check audio latency, in the TX DSP panel, use the audio monitor set to "RX" and tap the mic without pressing PTT (assuming it's not a comms mic that needs PTT pressed). How much latency do you hear? Should be very little. Fraction of a second, maybe around 50ms for me.
You have STILL posted a cropped/sized screenshot. PLESASE USE THE SCREENSHOT TOOL AND POST IT HERE ATTACHED. DO NOT EDIT IT!

As far as I can see you are using Rhode NT1 mic via Focusrite interface. Exactly which model of Focusrite interface is it? Is the NT1 a USB plug or is it an audio plug into the Focusrite interface?
You posted the screenshot of the audio spectrum, but I only posted that to show the "RX" monitor button activated to listen to the mic audio in to the TX DSP panel so that you can listen for the delay/audio latency. So with RX monitor turned on, and the monitor level turned up, if you just tap the mic, what sort of delay do you hear? Almost no delay? 1/2 second, 1 second? Approximately how much?

The RODE NT1 has an XLR cable that goes to the external sound card. I have three sound cards (Focusrite, Presonus C26, Antelope Synergy Xen Go USB) and I have the same problem with all of them. Yes, I have "Focusrite Control" but it has few adjustments, it makes you change the sampling rate NOT the buffer. I also have the RODE K2 and it gives me the same problem, as does the NEUMANN TLM 102... I'm out now. I'll test the mic latency tomorrow morning and post the screenshot.

Yes, keep to the Rode NT1 (or the Neumann TLM102) and stay with the Focusrite interface (which one is it?). Focusrite interfaces are primarily designed for musicians so are designed to keep the latency low. Using the analogue input removes another possible USB delay (just eliminating as many possible delays as possible). Alternatively, you could use the NT2 USB direct into SDRC (no need for the audio interface).
Apologies, before I used the term "codec" when in fact I should have said "protocol". In fact ignore what I said earlier. You do not need to worry about this. No need to install ASIO4ALL as it does not apply to SDR Console. I can see that Simoon has previously said that SDR Console uses WASAPI (Windows native protocol) and this is already very low latency.
If you decide to use the Focusrite interface and have not already done it, go to Focusrite website and download and install the correct driver for your interface. SDR Console will take care of it from there.
Then test the latency from mic to monitor on the TX DSP panel as I previously described, and in RX mode as shown earlier. No need to go in to TX to test this. This will then prove that there is no severe latency in the audio side. I would expect hardly any delay here at all. Maybe just about detectable delay (by ear) but no more.
In terms of total RF latency through the HL2 from speaking on the mic to hearing the RF out on an analogue receiver, on my system I have just done this (SSB signal) and I estimate this at probably around about 100ms (a small but perceptible delay).
So it's a step by step process. Firstly test for audio latency, and once this is very low, then use an analogue receiver to estimate the overall delay from speaking into the mic to hearing the RF on an analogue receiver. No need to post a picture of the TX DSP. Tells the viewer nothing about the latency you can hear.

I downloaded the new drivers from the FOCUSRITE website yesterday, but nothing improved! I still have latency, and the speakers can only hear me intermittently! I don't know what else to try. I don't want to connect a microphone to my PC, I'll lose my mics because they have XLR connections. What can I try? Please help me, thanks.
FOCUSRITE interface, but if I try with the RIDE K2 connected to the ZEN GO SINERGY USB sound card it's the same thing, even with the PRESONUS C26 I still have latency....
