I use a tablet for sdr listening.
Sliding my finger back and forth on the screen to make small adjustments to the frequency is difficult.
Is it possible to add either
1. A scroll wheel in place of the waterfall contrast slider (on the right side), that changes the frequency by the current step size
Or
2. Transparent plus and minus buttons that change the frequency by the current step size
Thanks!

Plus-Minus step buttons for tablet users
Re: Plus-Minus step buttons for tablet users
What about some sort of option to tap the the right of the cursor to change frequency one step up or to left of cursor for down? Bit like forward/back on YouTube phone app? Maybe there could be a button on the waterfall to engage/disengage this feature because some people might quite like it on the desktop version too, especially as so many laptops now come with touchscreens?

Tapping the screen to change the frequency by step size will not work.
Tapping the screen is like a mouse click and changes the position of the cursor.

Bluetooth mouse?
Re: Plus-Minus step buttons for tablet users
no mouse is involved.
I'm using a windows tablet.
Is it possible to add a scroll wheel in place of the waterfall contrast slider (on the right side), that changes the frequency by the current step size?
This way I could tap the screen to set the frequency generally , then use the scroll wheel to make adjustments to zero in on the frequency.
This would SDR-Console tablet friendly.

I think Simon was suggesting that a bluetooth mouse would be a simple solution.

Sorry, i see now that a bluetooth mouse was a simple suggestion.
The point of a tablet is that you don't need a mouse.
If I add a mouse, I might as well add a keyboard, a desk and a chair.
Ok all laughter aside..
SDR-Radio is presently the best software for use on a windows tablet.
The tablet offers portable operation, which is excellent for remote operation or when tuning an antenna in the field.
But the drawback is the lack of an easy method to fine tune the frequency.
My thought is that adding the ability to use more diverse hardware will not only make my personal operation easier, but also increase your user base..
I can't be the only windows tablet user in the hobby.

Re: Plus-Minus step buttons for tablet users
Another thought..
I don't use the waterfall as I don't find it all that helpful.
But I can see where many operators do prefer the waterfall and like having the contrast adjustment instantly available.
Maybe two scroll bars on the side?
Or maybe an option to choose one or the other?
Anyway thanks for your consideration.
Either way I'll keep using the program.
It is some seriously well thought-out and developed software.

Have you tried this?
Re: Plus-Minus step buttons for tablet users
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it but it is too imprecise (at least on my tablet).
