Static only

Hi first of all I would like to thank you for accepting me in to your group.
I am using sdr console v3, the problem I am having is that I am only picking up static and no radio stations. I have tried different antennae, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference.
I must be doing something wrong, but I don’t know what

Could you take a screenshot of the SDRConsole window. That will tell us a lot about your setup. There is also a whole lot of help available on sdr-radio.com, where you should have downloaded the software. If all you get is a white noise hiss then increasing the RF gain for your frontend would make a nice difference. (The Visual Gain only scales what shows on the spectrum display.)

When you have the screenshot please put it up here full size and readable.

After you have it up here give it a day or so before I get back to it. But other people might as well. (I gotta sleep sometime and I am WAY off synchronism with the Sun lately.

Yep, like Joanne says, screenshot taken using the Screenshot feature inside the program is extremely useful:

This should also tell us what hardware you are using which you do not mention. Also have you got that hardware to run on any other SDR program successfully, so is it just the SDR Console software that is not working for you, or is it a general thing with that hardware and any software? Or perhaps SDRC is the first SDR program you have tried? In which case..... good choice!

Best

Ok, I have got broadcast fm working now, but still can’t get Am working. How do I upload photos to this forum so that I can show my setup?

Click on Full Editor & Preview, next to the submit button. Then there's a tab below and left of the text entry box called attachments. Click on that and hit 'Add files'.
Easy Peasy.
