V3.3 won't start with RSP2

#1

Unread post by BarrySJH »

Hi,
I updated SDR Uno to V1.42 1710 on my PC and ran it up with my fully functioning RSP2 that had been running happily under SDR Console 3.1. No problem.
Then updated SDR Console to v3.3. Now the same RSP2 will not start.
SDR Console 3.3 works starts fine with an RTL Dongle.
The RSP2 still works under SDR Uno.
I've reinstalled both (on two machines). I've checked Drivers and API's - all ok.
Any further clues as I've wasted so much time on this today!

I *assume* you redid the V3 SDRplay definition when you updated SDR Console.

Barry,

You must install the latest API from SDRplay and be sure to select a V3 definition.

Simon, for future reference. I'm pretty sure the SDRplay API automatically updates with the installation of the latest version of SDRuno.

1) Tell me there is an update available.
2) Tell me why there is an update available.
3) Give me a chance to install the update at my discretion.

I get testy about behind my back updates as I subscribe to the philosophy of "If it ain't broke don't fix it." Are you SURE it goes behind your back and automatically updates the API WHILE IT IS IN USE? (I probably am imaginative enough to make this work. It is, however, an invitation to disaster.)
