SDRC works very well with recent versions of CrossOver Linux, there are minor graphics colour anomalies on a few control buttons which does not prevent operation.
WINE does not "do" USB of course so hardware devices have to be served over the network, typically using spyserver for Airspy hardware ...

Bob....this might be some help in your diagnosis of the "audio clipping" anomaly.
I can "force" audio clipping/stuttering, accompanied by high latency outside the range of the SDR Console audio bar graph by just changing the audio sink.
My normal audio output uses RealTek HD audio and is fine. But ...
